Safe, reliable, and affordable electricity and innovation

MTE began more than 80 years ago to electrify a few hundred rural homes, farms, and towns and has evolved to become one of the largest electric cooperatives in the country. Our territory serves hundreds of thousands of middle Tennesseans with an electric system spanning thousands of miles. Our engineering team's responsibility is to design and expand our system to provide affordable, reliable, and safe electricity as we continue to grow. They lead the way to find innovations to improve the quality of our electricity in addition to planning service lines, substations, power plants, and infrastructure upgrades.

Our engineering team serves our members by researching and experimenting with new energy technology to make your life better. As a trusted energy advisor and provider, we know our members are looking to invest in new electrical technology like solar, battery storage, and electric vehicles. If you have questions, give us a call or send us a message. We're here to help and serve our members as they navigate the ever-changing energy landscape.
